Where did that month go?

Do you ever have those missing packets of time that utterly confuse you? Well the month of May was lost somewhere between a big ole trip to NYC and the end of the school year!

First of all NYC was a super fun time. Sarah went with the Boss Finch and I to the Accessories Show and a few clothing shows. We had a great time because there was great stuff to tempt us. This trip was all about late summer transitional clothing and the beginnings of fall. We ordered the ever popular Tulle Vintage Wool Coat in a variety of new colors. Get ready for rich jewel tones like Raspberry, Blue, Gold, Red and Brown. The great jewel tones carried over into the leather goods too! Tano will be bright this Fall! Raspberry, Grape, Red, Yellow and Blue dominated the color palette of our friends from Spain. Hobo International is on the same bandwagon with a remarkably similar color palette. Look for all of those to arrive at the end of July (yes wool coats in July but we have to take them when we can get them!).

No major star sightings this time except for Mariska Hargitay with her little family outisde of ABC Carpet and Home. Sarah and i did have a great Cinco de Mayo with our friends from Baked Beads, David and Laura. Check out the view from this roof top deck. David has a friend with this lovely condo overlooking Midtown and the Hudson River. If you squint real hard and zoom in you can see the Statue of Liberty behind us.

And then all of a sudden it was the end of May! I have a little chicken that just finished her first year of school. She loved it and we loved her teacher, her school, her new friends...well everything was just delightful. But that last month was a killer! So many activities and not enough time!

But here we are in the midst of summer. I am taking advantage of Summer Hours and Sarah is doing a great job running the show. I did take the time to order a great new selection of Zina Kao necklaces and new stock from a few other popular friends. Look for new goodies soon!

Summer at the Finch will be quite exciting!
