Hillsboro Village Art Walk

Tomorrow night from 5-8pm is the Hillsboro Village Art Walk! Village Art Walk receptions, shows and events are hosted in most Hillsboro Village shops and restaurants. This is a year round event that provides changing movies, music, artists, demonstrations, book signings and much more.

The August 4th theme is “A Hawaiian Luau.”

Looking for Stylists for Nashville Fashion Week!

Be a stylist for a day! In honor of Nashville Fashion week we are giving you the opportunity as a stylist to win a FIRE FINCH gift certificate for styling the winning look! On Tuesday March 29th, Wednesday March 30th, and Thursday March 31st, come into either Fire Finch location to style a look using Fire Finch merchandise. We will then take your picture wearing the look and upload it to our Facebook page. It is up to you to get the most "likes" for your look and the most Finch votes! The winner will be announced on Saturday April 2nd.

Earth Day is April 22nd!

Last year we held a drawing for a $100 Gift Certificate in honor of Earth Day and it was a huge success! So once again we are giving you the chance to win!

Here's how it works....
When you make a purchase and refuse packaging at either Fire Finch location you can enter your name into the drawing.
What does it mean to refuse packaging you may ask? Well it means that we don't put your purchase in any packaging...no bag, no box, no gift wrap.

Why?
At Fire Finch we estimate that we use over 3000 bags, boxes, and bows every month. That is a lot of paper out there. We consciously made the choice to use recyclable packaging but that is still a lot of paper!

Winners will be chosen at random at close of business on Earth Day from a pool of entries from both Fire Finch locations and notified by email. You will have 5 business days to claim your prize!

Make it a habit of bringing your own bag when you go shopping. I am sure your bag is way cuter than that ugly plastic one!
Switch some of your old light bulbs for CFL (Compact Flouresent) bulbs. Save money on your NES bill at the same time!
Turn off the tap when you brush your teeth!

Earth Day

Fire Finch is celebrating Earth Day in a big way!

Beginning April 3rd until Earth Day, April 22nd, Fire Finch will donate a portion of the profits from a select group of items to the Nature Conservancy. The items include the ever popular Envirosax, the super cute owl mugs and boxes as well as a perfect assortment of sterling silver animal stud earrings.

And to make it fun for you we are having a drawing for a $100 Gift Certificate! How do you enter the drawing you may ask? Just be a little green! Every time you refuse a paper bag and packaging you can enter to win the Gift Certificate! Check out the rules below.....

Here at the Finch we have been making an effort to be a little Greener. We have eliminated paper towels at our sinks in favor of cute hand towels. We are recycling all of our office paper and cardboard boxes. We purchased a Brita Filter to cut out bottled water. We have started switching out our light bulbs for the new compact fluorescent bulbs. We are upgrading our surge protectors to conserve electricity. We open the doors instead of turning on the AC. We walk or bike to work when we can. We all have Envirosax and take them to the grocery and on errands (most stores now give you cash back for bringing your own bags!). And last but not least we keep looking for cool new enviro friendly products to bring to all of you out there!

So remember, Kermit was wrong, It is Easy to be Green!

Rules:
You can enter every visit to the Finch that you refuse a packaging and a paper bag.
Only one entry per visit, per day.
You must leave us your name and email so we can let you know if you won. Write clearly!
Entries must be submitted between opening April 3rd and closing on Earth Day.
Drawing will be made after closing on Earth Day. Winner will be notified on Earth Day by email.
Winner will have 48 hours to respond and one week to pick up the Gift Certificate.
All of our usual policies regarding Gift Certificates apply. It will Expire October 22, 2008 and is not redeemable for cash. We cannot replace a lost or stolen Gift Certificate.
